INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement (M.A.C.E.) Unit arrested a Vero Beach woman after their latest investigation.
Late last week, the M.A.C.E. Unit concluded an investigation that resulted in trafficking charges.
Tiera Tippie, 46, of Vero Beach, faces charges of two counts of sale of Morphine and one count of trafficking in Morphine after she sold eight pills to an undercover officer, according to authorities. Forty-nine pills were recovered from her purse, which led to the trafficking charges.
“We continue the fight against the illegal sale and distribution of prescription narcotics. Those who are skirting the law will be charged and prosecuted,” said Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar.
Tippie remains at the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office in lieu of $125,000 bond.
