Theresa M. Hornyak, 78, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 20, 2015.
She is survived by many friends, was a cherished aunt to nephew Joe Van Os and his step-son Muigai Muruthi of Vashon, Wash.; nephew Andy Van Os and his wife Ellie of Vero Beach; great-nephew Eric Van Os, his wife Trina and their son Coren of Vero Beach; and, great-nephew Neil Van Os and Jennifer Chen of Davis, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Van Os.
Hornyak was born in Philadelphia, Penn., to Theresa and Andrew Hornyak in 1936, and spent the majority of her life in Palmyra, N.J.
After a long administrative career with Interstate Motor Freight Systems in Philadelphia, she retired to Fort Pierce, in 1999 and most recently resided in Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Theresa Hornyak may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County.
Strunk Funeral Home of Vero Beach is entrusted with arrangements.
