Dyer Auto presents $3,000 check to Youth Guidance Program

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Dyer Auto Group announces the recipient of this month’s Dyer Difference Award along with a $3,000 check to Youth Guidance Mentoring and Activities Program.

For 42 years the core purpose of Youth Guidance is to pair a child with a positive adult role model to create a mentoring relationship. A community and volunteer driven solution to the problem of children growing up without sufficient positive adult role models in their lives, Youth Guidance is a grass roots movement that is solely supported by local funding and donations. The program provides adult role models to approximately 300 children from low income, single parent homes and this year they are launching a new group mentoring program called the “Mentoring Academy.”

The Dyer award is helping to sponsor the 38th annual Tropical Night Luau on June 13, at Grand Harbor Golf Club. Tropical Night Luau is a fun night of dancing, tropical cuisine and island rhythms by Gypsy Lane and a live and silent auction. Funds raised on this night support the programs for the coming year, to ensure when a family comes to Youth Guidance for help, they will not be turned away.
