Emerson Center looks ahead to next Masters of Music Series

VERO BEACH — MusicWorks and Paris Productions, co-producers of the Masters of Music Series at The Emerson Center, have wrapped up a successful season of well-attended performances provided by Livingston Taylor, John Sebastian and the touring team of Janis Ian and Tom Paxton.

Plans are currently underway for another troupe of performers to grace the Emerson Center stage for next season. Already signed for Friday evening, Nov. 20 is Grammy Winner and solo pianist George Winston. Winston’s concerts feature a variety of styles including melodic folk piano, New Orleans R&B piano, and stride piano. This concert will feature Winston’s solo piano Winter Show, which will include melodic fall and winter type songs, some of Vince Guaraldi’s Peanuts pieces, pieces inspired by the New Orleans piano and the stride piano traditions, and songs from his newest solo piano album, Spring Carousel – A Cancer Research Benefit.

Tickets to Winston’s performance are currently on sale through www.TheEmersonCenter.org or by calling the Box Office at (772) 778-5249. Non-profit partners The Emerson Center and the United Way of Indian River County will benefit from this concert. Since this is the kick-off of the holiday season, the Center will be inviting all attendees to bring a non-perishable food donation for a local food bank to be announced soon.
