William Eubanks, 85, Vero Beach

William “Bill” Franklin Eubanks, Jr., 85, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 16, 2015, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

He is survived by his wife, Trucy of 59 years; son Will Eubanks (Robyn) of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; daughter Ty McClung (Scott) of Gainesville; grandchildren Matthew Eubanks of Orange Park, Fla., and Cody Eubanks attending UCF Orlando; and sisters Arden Dooley of Daytona and Dotty Carlsward of Clinton, N.C.

He is preceded in death by his parents “Doc” Bill Eubanks, DDS and “Bugs” Eubanks.

Eubanks was born Feb. 11, 1930, in Dayton Beach, Fla., but grew up and resided in Vero Beach until his death. He graduated from Vero Beach High School in the Class of 1948 and attended Auburn University for three years.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Bryce Canyon during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1955. He was a welder by trade and a successful citrus grower in Indian River County.

In memory of Bill, donations may be made to VNA Hospice House of Vero Beach. As requested by Bill, there will be no memorial services.
