Dr. Henry Laing Kirkendall, Jr., of Vero Beach, formerly of Worcester, Mass., and Harwichport, Mass., passed away on April 14, 2015.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Mrs. Maureen E. Kirkendall. He was a devoted father to Elizabeth Kirkendall Hotz, Martha Kirkendall Murray (William Bruce), Henry L. Kirkendall, III, and Col. David A. Kirkendall USAF (Kimberly); loving grandfather of Cathleen and Emily, Madeline, Katherine, William and Anna, Laura, Henry IV, Caroline and Julia, D. Andrew, Jr. and Landon. He was a loving brother to Georgene Harrison and Margaret Kirkendall, loving brother-in- law to Mary Herlihy, Catherine Beyer (James), Patricia Doyle, and Jane Dee (Francis).
He was predeceased by his parents Dr. Henry L. Kirkendall and Bertha L. Kirkendall and sister Mary L. Feeney.
Calling hours will be at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach from 6 to 8 p.m., April 17, 2015 with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 500 Iris Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32963.
