Nicholas Bradford, 92, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 11, 2015.
He is survived by is loving wife of 68 years, Florence Bradford; son, Ron (Mary) Bradford of Leicester, N.C.; daughter Linda (James) Halsey of Baskinridge, N.J.; grandchildren Jimmy and Donald Halsey and Gabriel and Justin Bradford; stepson Jerrob Duffy; great-grandchildren Sawyer, Rye, Audrey Bradford and Lucas and Camila Duffy; and sister Betty Napp of Detroit, Mich.
Bradford was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Morristown, N.J., the son of the late Edith and Nicholas Bradford.
After attending Morristown High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country in World War II, and was part of the Normandy Invasion. His career spanned over 30 years with AT&T as a telephone technician, retiring in 1981 and relocating to Fort Pierce. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for more than 30 years. A past member of the Italian American Club and the Elks Lodge, he was an avid bowler and tennis player playing at Timber Ridge Tennis Ranch.
A Celebration of Nicholas’s Life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. Military Honors to follow.
