Harold “Art” Nowicki, 83, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 30, 2015, after a brief illness.
He is survived by his daughter Julie, girlfriend Jean Boggus and her surviving five children.
Nowicki was born in Detroit, Mich., on May 28, 1931. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and had been retired from General Motors for 34 years. He also served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the city of South Lyon, Mich.
He moved to Vero Beach after retirement where he met his long-time girlfriend of 22 years Jean Boggus. Together they enjoyed rollerblading, biking and kayaking. Spending time with family was his greatest joy. He was a loving, caring and helpful man.
Nowicki was laid to rest in South Lyon Cemetery on April 6.
