Patricia Ann Yates, 65, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 8, 2015, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She is survived by her sons David Wayne Smith, Jason Yates, and Mike Yates; daughters Vickie Walker, and Michelle Cochran; sisters Linda Futch, Cindy Henderson and Betty Drawdy; brothers Donald Harwood and Robert Harwood; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Lee Yates.
Yates was born in Lafayette, Ind., and lived in the Fellsmere/Sebastian area for 30 years prior to moving to Clewiston 20 years ago. She was a chef and caterer. She was a member of Clewiston Gospel Ministries, Clewiston, Fla., was a founder of the 4-H Montura Oven Burners, Montura Clubhouse Playground, Montura Festival, all in Clewiston.
Yates was also instrumental in the founding of the Fellsmere Frogleg Festival.
