Mary Elsie Warren, 89, of Vero Beach, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy R. Barker; son-in-law Roy S. Barker; grandson Kevin W. Barker; sisters Wally Irwin and Betty Graves; brothers William Reese, Charlie Reese, and Billy Reese; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy M. Warren; son Buford L. Warren; parents William V. Reese and Celia Mae Lamb; sisters Inez Lemke Reid, Rhoda Knight Brown, and Lizzie Lee Ward; and fiancé Bob Von Stein.
Warren was born in Mitchell, Ga., on Feb. 5, 1926
She moved to Vero Beach in 1962 after her husband retired from a 20 year Army career. She lived in England, France, Germany, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Washington, Georgia, and Florida. She worked for 30 years in the Electronics Department of Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach.
Warren was a member of Vero Christian Church, Vero Beach Orchid Society, and Vero Beach Computer Group. In the past, she and Leroy were active in a local Studebaker club and another antique automobile club.

A funeral service will be held at Strunk Funeral Home, 916 17th St, Vero Beach, FL 32960 on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Service will begin at 12 p.m. and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6194 U.S. Hwy #1 North, Ft Pierce, FL 34946.
