Luxurious privacy in newer section of Vero Beach

Driving along the roads in the part of Indian River County that is west of 58th Avenue, it is amazing to see how many neighborhoods have popped up amid the groves and pastures, especially after the most recent slump in the housing market.

In the past 10 years, more and more major builders have brought their products to Indian River County; GHO has been part of that influx, and the result is positive for home buyers looking for value as well as luxury.

A few years ago, the new houses that stood out this way were dark and construction had stalled because of the economy. But Vero has weathered other slumps and local realtors understand the cycle.

This week’s featured home is located in the now-thriving Fieldstone Ranch Square community, a neighborhood made up of 129 neatly manicured home sites in a bucolic setting, yet close to everything Vero has to offer, since it is located off of 58th Avenue and 77th Street.

This gracious three-bedroom home has two and a half baths, a sumptuous patio with a pool and spa overlooking an idyllic lake, and a three-car garage, as well as all kinds of upgrades that make it comparable to many gorgeous, and much more expensive homes on the island. Lush, mature palm trees add to the luxurious privacy.

Built in 2009 by GHO, this meticulously maintained house sits gracefully on one of the larger lots in the neighborhood with a paved brick driveway and landscaped path leading to the welcoming covered entry way.

A long foyer leads into the spacious family room, kitchen and breakfast nook. The covered Kool-Crete coated patio and screened-in salt water pool, with a brand new pool heater, are the perfect spot for barbeques and parties. The backyard has a fenced area for pets and little people.

On one side of the foyer, before arriving in the family’s living quarters, there is a smaller formal living room and dining room, as well as a quiet office with French doors, and another door leading to the master bedroom suite. Arches, 12-foot high ceilings, dark tile floors and wooden ceiling fans give the house a cool, Caribbean resort feeling.

Builders have gotten smart about the way that real people live, and this house shows it, with the kitchen designated as the heart of the house. The more formal areas are still included in the floor plan, but are minimal, because people are much more casual in the way they entertain.

The open kitchen in this house has lovely wood cabinets, gorgeous granite counters, deluxe light fixtures, a spacious pantry, stainless steel appliances, including a microwave/convection oven, and an oversized island with table legs, making it an attractive piece of furniture that can accommodate six people – a terrific entertaining spot. The breakfast nook overlooks the lake.

Tucked away from the common areas are the bedrooms, including a master suite overlooking the lake, facing east, so owners can watch the sun rise each morning. French doors lead from the bedroom to the pool.

The master bathroom has sparkling white cabinets and chocolate brown tile, double sinks, a mirrored vanity, a walk-in shower with lovely tile and a deep, jetted tub. The real focal point of this master suite is the walk-in closet that runs the length of the bedroom and is wide enough to be another room. It is outfitted with racks and shelves that make organization easy.

Both guest bedrooms have spacious closets, and the guest suite bathroom also has a spacious double sink. The laundry room has updated appliances, hanging racks, a folding table, and access to the huge three-car garage.

Inside, the house has been freshly painted in neutral, peaceful hues and new carpet has been added in the two guest bedrooms.

This house is perfect for a young, growing family, an older couple with a caregiver, or a single person who likes to entertain.

The whole 58th Avenue shopping corridor is growing all the time, and retailers are catering to this area. Storm Grove Middle School is nearby, and Interstate 95 is just minutes away, as are the Indian River Lagoon and beaches on the island.

It is well worth the drive to see this stately home, as well as the pastoral western part of our county.
