Donald Milo Whitney, 85, of Sebastian, passed away on April 1, 2015, after a short illness.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Louise; daughter Patti (Kerry) Gardner; sons Mark (Nancy) and Alan (Kim) Whitney; brother Eugene Whitney; sister Barbara Baranowski; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A native of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. he graduated from Oriskany High School in Oriskany, N.Y., after which he joined the Army and served in the Korean War. He met and married Mary Louise (Remmell) in Rome, N.Y., and they were residents of North Syracuse, N.Y., for 30 years where Whitney retired from owning his own accounting firm. He retired to Sebastian in 1990.
He went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, April 1.
A funeral service will be held at 11:45 a.m. on Monday April 6, in the Christ The King Presbyterian Church, 4056 77th St., Vero Beach, with calling for one hour before the service in the church.
