County businesses support National Child Abuse Awareness month

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — As part of a national drive in April which recognizes National Child Abuse Awareness month, the Indian River County’s Giving Kidz a Chance and the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition, along with 10 other local non-profits are planning to place hundreds of blue and silver pinwheels in the ground in front of local businesses and residences in Indian River County.

This campaign is a reminder of the happy childhoods and bright futures that all children deserve, as well as the important role everyone plays in ensuring every child has an equal opportunity for healthy growth and development.

More than 30 locations are already signed on to participate. Any business or resident eager to place pinwheels in front of their location should contact the Healthy Start offices of Giving Kidz a Chance and ask for Beth at (772) 778-1323.
