VERO BEACH — The Indian River Citrus Classic 5K is the fifth and final event of the 2014-2015 Runner’s Depot race series sponsored by Health First Health Plans and Insurance. The race benefits local before and after school elementary programs that help kids stay active.
The race will begin at 7:30 a.m. on April 4, 2015, with a free kids run immediately following. The course will start at Pocahontas Park and will take runners through a two-loop course featuring downtown Vero Beach.
Racers can pick up packets on Thursday, April 2, and Friday, April 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Runner’s Depot. Entry fees are $28 in advance or $33 on race day.
Citrus themed awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female winners (overall winners receive free shoes), overall masters male and female winner, top three male and female in each 5-year age group, and a Runner’s Depot random runner selected in a drawing of all racers running in a Runner’s Depot logo shirt. The random runner will also receive free shoes.
