VERO BEACH — Summertime is hot, fun and active at the Riverside Racquet Complex. Adult round robin play is an on-going year round program that attracts hearty and friendly tennis players from the Vero Beach area.
Friendly staff still offers free coffee to all those who attend on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. All levels are welcome from beginners to advanced including Wheelchair players.
Riverside staff works hard to match players up according to playing level. Enjoying the play and socializing with new-found friends is an added bonus to playing the round robin.
The fees are $2 for County Resident Members, $4 for city residents and $5 for non–city residents. Those interested are encouraged to call ahead to put a name on the list and sign up at the Tennis Pro-Shop. Arrive early and check in at the pro- shop.
Riverside Racquet Complex offers a myriad of programs for youth and adults. There is a free practice wall for players without a partner. Players can work on their game by renting a New Playmate Ball Machine. Ask about the Sunday special. Check out the bulletin board inside the tennis pro-shop for potential competitors. Names can be added or taken from the bulletin board. Tennis and racquetball court reservations are taken 24 hours in advance.
