Sarah Greer Hardy, 83, passed away on March 17, 2015, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
She is survived by her son Clifford Hardy of Vero Beach; grandson Tyler Hardy of Vero Beach; nephew David Keelor of Goldsboro, N.C.; nieces Grace Patrick of Tary, N.C. and Betty Pearson of Seaford, Del., and several other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great- nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Greer and sisters, Mary Bignall, Anna Keelor and Catherine Elias.
Hardy was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and lived in Vero Beach for 15 years coming from Gainesville. She was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. Hardy was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She has served the church as a Sacristan, Adult Altar Server and Eucharist Minister for seven years. She was a volunteer for Our Father’s Table, St. Francis Manor and Kid’s Closet. She was a member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis of Assisi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. Arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach. An online guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
