Meth found during traffic stop, 2 arrested

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A traffic stop conducted on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the arrest of two people when authorities discovered methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Steven Michael Schroer, 35, of the 200 block of 13th Lane SW in Vero Beach, was pulled over when an officer who had previous knowledge of his suspended driver’s license observed him driving eastbound in the 9000 block of State Road 60.

Schroer’s passenger, Mindy Sue Fulton, 37, of the 1300 block of 14th Street in Vero Beach, was discovered to be out on active warrants for possession of methamphetamine and failure to appear on one count of trafficking in amphetamines.

A search of the vehicle yielded 14.8 grams of methamphetamine in a plastic baggie, wrapped in electrical tape and attached to the front passenger seat.

Schroer faces charges including felony traffic controlled substance and misdemeanor drive with license suspended, revoked, or cancelled. He is being held in lieu of $50,500 bond.

Fulton is being held without bond and faces charges including felony traffic controlled substance, possession methamphetamine, and local ordinance traffic amphetamines.
