First Presbyterian Church wraps up concert series March 22

VERO BEACH — The First Presbyterian Church presents Matt Stott and Jacob Craig in concert on March 22, beginning at 3 p.m., as the final performance of the 2014-15 First Presbyterian Church Concert Series.

The concert series exists to promote outstanding musical events to be enjoyed by the community, and this season’s series focuses specifically on local talent. These are non-ticketed, free admission events and all proceeds from the love offering go towards furthering the success of the concert series.

Educator and violinist Matt Stott is the orchestra director at Vero Beach High School and Gifford Middle School, where he teaches more than 200 string players. A native of Yorkville, Ill., Stott began playing the violin at the age of six. He graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and has lived in Vero Beach since 2001. He will perform a program featuring masterpieces written for the violin from each of the past four centuries.
