Corrine E. Meagher, 85, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 9, 2015, at VNA Hospice House.
She is survived by two daughters. Karen Armero (Juan) and Marilyn Soward (John) of Vero Beach; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother Donna Marsden (Arthur) of Bluffton, S.C. and Dennis Moard of Northern Penn. She is also survived by her loving companion Robert Haughian of Vero Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Meagher.
Meagher was born July 21, 1929, in Middletown, Conn., the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Moard. She worked as a customer service representative for U.S. Airways for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling, had a great passion for tennis, both playing herself and watching professional players. She had been a resident of Vero Beach for the past 20 years coming from Glastonbury, Conn., and had been a resident of Heron Cay Retirement Community.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2015 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m. A Graveside Service and interment of her ashes will be held this summer at Rosehill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill, Conn.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to VNA Hospice House of Vero Beach and can be made at 1110 35th Lane in Vero Beach.
