SEBASTIAN — Juelie Perry, Executive Director of TLC Preschool of Sebastian, will present a special free workshop at Bridges Early Learning Center on Wednesday, March 18, from 7 to 8 p.m. Open to all parents of preschool children, the workshop will provide guidance and examples of what parents could and should do to reinforce preschool learning.
Since learning is a parent/teacher team effort, the workshop called “So, what did you do today? I played!!” will engage and entertain parents with exercises and learning games they can follow at home. Childcare and light refreshments will be provided at the workshop. Pre-registration is required and can be done by contacting Bridges Director Brenda Neeley at (772) 778-5981 or online at www.BridgesELC.org.
Florida is one of the first states in the country to offer free pre-kindergarten for all 4-year-olds regardless of family income, and about 80 percent of all Florida 4-year-olds attend VPK. Studies have shown that children who attend high-quality preschool do much better when they get to kindergarten, and this makes an enormous difference for their later success.
Bridges ELC is conveniently located one stoplight south of the intersection of Route 60 and 27th Avenue, just south of 16th Street, on the southern end of The Emerson Center’s campus.
