Scholarship Foundation hosts an ‘Evening with Dr. Ben Carson’ April 2

VERO BEACH — The Scholarship Foundation of Indian River County (SFIRC) is delighted to announce “Scholarship Foundation presents: Gifted Hands, an Evening with Dr. Ben Carson” on Thursday, April 2, at 7 p.m. at the Waxlax Center at St. Edward’s School.

Dr. Carson will speak about his remarkable journey from inner-city youth to history-making neurosurgeon, a journey that illustrates the impact of education and celebrates the power people have to excel and influence others to achieve.

Camilla Wainright, executive director for SFIRC said, “We are thrilled to present this special opportunity to hear Dr. Carson, whose life story is a testament to overcoming adversity. The generosity of our sponsors has assured that all proceeds will go toward funding need-based scholarships for deserving Indian River County students.”

A limited number of tickets are still available for a cocktail reception and presentation for $500 per person. Tickets for the presentation only are available for $100 per person. Tickets are on sale through the organization’s web site, www.SFIndianRiver.org, or by calling the office at (772) 569-9869.
