McKee Botanical Garden receives vehicle donation

VERO BEACH — McKee Botanical Garden wishes to express its gratitude to Danny Bryant for his landmark gift of an award-winning 1971 MGB, the Garden’s first-ever vehicle donation.

Bryant, who is a former participant in McKee’s annual motor car exhibition, chose to donate his beloved red sports car as an expression of his fondness for McKee and as a way for the Garden to raise funds through its sale. The generous in-kind donation was facilitated by McKee Car Show Committee member Wayne Sandlin, who later also assisted with its sale.

In appreciation for his vehicle donation, Bryant has received a lifetime membership to the Garden. He and his family will get to enjoy unlimited visits to McKee as well as a number of additional benefits.

“Through his thoughtful donation, Mr. Bryant has helped to ensure that the Garden remains an important resource for future generations to enjoy,” stated McKee Botanical Garden Executive Director Christine Hobart. “We are deeply moved by this act of generosity, and wish to thank Danny for thinking of McKee and choosing to support us in this way.”

Proceeds from the sale of Mr. Bryant’s 1971 MGB will benefit McKee Botanical Garden.
