Gerardo “Gerry” Gregory Filipe, 81, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 18, 2014, with his family by his side at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Connie; sons Gregory (Donna), Michael (Barbara), Gary (Kim), Mark, and Glenn (Teresa); sisters Anita (Jim) Wadick and Lucille Froment; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was a wonderful “Pa” to stepchildren Lynny (Mike) Giarrusso, Victor Lepore and Maria Lepore.
He spent most of his life in Attleboro, Mass., until moving to Vero Beach in 1991. Filipe served four years in the Air Force.
A mass of Christian burial is scheduled at St. John of the Cross on Thursday, March 12, at 2 p.m.
