Violet Virginia Dant, 89, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 26, 2015, at VNA Hospice House.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Kenneth Dant; daughter Sue (Alan) Jackson; son Larry (Connie) Love, all of Vero Beach; sister LaVerne Rickles of Kimberly, Ala.; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Harry Love, Jr. and 10 siblings.
She was born Dec. 24, 1925, in Warrior, Ala., and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1980.
She was the former owner of Kountry Kitchen With Love until her retirement in 1998.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, March 2, at the First Church of God in Vero Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA and Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
