Marguerite Hayes, 88, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on Feb. 22, 2015, less than a week before her 89th birthday.
She is survived by her daughter Kitty Kennedy and her son-in-law Stuart Kennedy.
Hayes was born in New York City to William Ahearn and Anne Hayes. She also lived in upstate New York, Washington D.C. and Sarasota, Fla. Throughout her life as a wife, daughter and mother she worked to support her family and had an untiring capacity to search and find the truth in any situation.
She was a strong and brave woman who had many interests and skills and will continue to be remembered by many people who keep her within their hearts. She moved from Upstate New York to Vero Beach in 2005.
There will be a Celebration of her Life on Thursday, March 5, at 11 a.m. at Thomas Lowther Funeral Home, 1655 27th St, in Vero Beach followed by a reception.
