INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce is offering a free procurement workshop, scheduled for Thursday, March 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the Gifford Community Center, 4855 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach.
Purchasing representatives from Indian River County government and the School District of Indian River County will provide information on doing business with their respective agencies.
The Chamber has partnered with the Progressive Civic League of Gifford to give local businesses an opportunity to learn what is needed to become vendors for local governmental agencies. Jennifer Hyde, purchasing manager with the County, and Rick Chuma, director of purchasing and warehouse for the school district, will provide detailed information on what it takes to become a vendor.
Topics covered will include bid lists, requests for proposals, proper documentation and online assistance.
