Theatre-Go-Round Dinner Theatre presents ‘Broadway Blockbusters’ opening March 1

VERO BEACH — Theatre-Go-Round Dinner Theatre, located within the Quilted Giraffe Restaurant at 500 south US 1 in Vero Beach, concludes its 2014–2015 season with its all new production “Broadway Blockbusters” opening March 1st and running through April 26th.

The musical tribute to the Great White Way will run on Sundays with the doors opening for dinner at 4:30 p.m. followed by the show at 6 p.m.

Theatre-Go-Round resident company members Beth McKenzie-Shestak, Shamara Turner, Caitlin Harris, Gregory Harris and Ben Earman take the audience on a musical journey behind the bright lights of the marquees; down the aisle and right up onto the stage where some of today’s most popular songs originated. The musical revue highlights those Broadway shows that, most likely, won’t be seen outside of large metropolitan areas due to budget restraints, size of the theaters required to stage them or a lack of triple-threat performers needed for the cast.

Shows being represented in this production include “The Act,” “Dreamgirls,” “Chess,” “Seesaw,” “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” “The Boy from Oz” and “Grand Hotel” to name just a few, and will feature such blockbusters as “One Night in Bangkok,” “Nobody Does It Like Me,” “I Am Changing,” “Don’t Cry Out Loud” and “Love Changes Everything.”

Dinner Theatre Packages which include a three course dinner, show ticket, tax and gratuity are $55 per person. The menu features your choice of either carved tenderloin of beef or the fresh seafood of the day. Beer, wine and cocktail service is available throughout the evening.

Reservations are required with Visa, MasterCard or Discover by phoning the dinner theatre box office at (772)-252-9341.
