Perfect combo: Warm weather, hot wings and cold beer

The weather warmed up last Saturday and so did the crowd at the fourth annual Florida Craft Beer and Wingfest to benefit the Vero Beach Sunrise Rotary Club.

The event featured more than 150 craft and local brews, drawing beer aficionados from around the state to the event, held along Royal Palm Pointe.

There was also a return of the popular Best Vero Wings competition as well as a Home Brew Off.

There was dancing in the streets to live music by Kool Vibes and Soul Jam on the east stage, and the Matt Sams Band and Johnny and the Blaze on the west stage.

Organizers hoped to attract 5,000 people, raising awareness of the Rotary Club and money for its various charitable projects.

As its name implies, Sunrise Rotary is the early morning crowd, meeting 7 a.m. Wednesdays at Grille on the Green.
