Gallery 14 showcases Earnhart, DiLiberto exhibits in March

VERO BEACH — March brings an exciting dual contemporary exhibit to Vero Beach, when Gallery 14 presents a special showing of work by popular assemblage artist Joan Earnhart and work by Italian born artist Giuseppe DiLiberto.

Earnhart, who is represented by Gallery 14 throughout the year, will have an expanded show focusing on new conceptual pieces. Her mythical wooden boxes filled with often familiar yet mysterious elements, offer narratives that intrigue the eye and challenge the mind.

DiLiberto was born in Sicily, went on to study in Florence, and now lives and works in New York City. He uses small pixels that seem to signify interplay of color, but when the colors fuse together they magically form complex images. The show will run from March 3 through March 28, with a reception on Friday night March 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. in conjunction with the Downtown Historic Arts District’s First Friday Gallery Stroll. All are welcome.

Also highlighted will be new work in oil, watercolor, acrylic, graphite, mixed media, collage, jewelry, photography, ceramics and sculpture, by Gallery 14 partners: Edgardo Abello, Lila Blakeslee, Cheri Cruden, Barbara du Pont, Mary Ann Hall, Virginia Knapp, Barbara Landry, Deborah Morrell Polackwich, and Dorothy Napp Schindel and represented artists: Francis Mesaros, Carol Staub, Bryan Beck, Terry Green, Walford Campbell, Viola Pace Knudsen and Emily Heinzel.

Gallery 14, located at 1911 14th Ave., is open Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or by appointment or chance. Closed Sunday and Monday. For further information please call (772) 562-5525 or visit www.gallery14verobeach.com.
