VERO BEACH — Haiti Partners will host its 8th annual “Educate and Celebrate” event at Northern Trust Bank, 755 Beachland Boulevard, Vero Beach, on Friday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m.
Celebrate taste buds and enjoy Haitian art, while supporting the good work of Haiti Partners. Tickets are $125 per person, and $100 of the ticket price is tax deductible and will directly support education in Haiti.
The evening will begin with food and wine pairings, followed by live and silent auctions containing paintings, jewelry, woodworking, and more, all crafted by Haitians in Haiti.
The focus will be meaningful fun, friendship, food, wine, and art that benefits education in Haiti through the work of Haiti Partners. A brief presentation about Haiti Partners will be made by co-directors Ken Annan and John Engle.
Annan is a Vero Beach resident and author of two books, and Engle relcoated to Haiti from Vero Beach after the 2010 earthquake.
Haiti Partners is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization based in Vero Beach. Their mission is to help Haitians change Haiti through education. This is done through collaboration with schools, churches, and organizations to transform communities. Each year, Haiti Partners educates more than 1,000 children in seven primary schools in Haiti. They also provide scholarships to 44 young community leaders to attend seminary while they apprentice with church programs to promote children’s rights.
