ORLANDO — After local law enforcement helped spread the word that a 15-year-old boy from Fort Pierce was missing and possibly abducted, the teen was found in the Orlando area.
Richard “Ricky” Henson was found safe in Orlando by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara.
He is being taken back to St. Lucie County by the Sheriff and Chief Deputy Garry Wilson.

FORT PIERCE — The Vero Beach Police Department is getting the word out locally that St. Lucie County authorities are trying to locate a missing teen who might have been abducted.
The teen, identified as 15-year-old Richard “Ricky” Henson, of 4036 Greenwood Dr., Ft. Pierce, was last seen around 5 p.m. on Feb. 19, walking to a basketball hoop. According to authorities, Henson frequents the area of the basketball hoop but always returns home before dark.
On Thursday, he did not return and his cell phone was found in the grass near the basketball hoop area.
Henson has health issues and takes medication daily, authorities said.
The teen was last seen wearing a green “Real Legends” T-shirt, blue jeans, black and red Nike shoes, and was carrying a black and white basketball. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has braces.
