Alice Cealia Jelen, 89, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 13, 2015, at Palm Garden of Vero Beach.
She is survived by her daughters Carol Spears (Frank), of Sebastian, Kathy Podolski, of Fort Collins, Colo., Laurie Jespersen, of Riverton, Utah; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Jelen was born in Chicago, Ill., and had been a resident of Sebastian for seven years coming from Hemet, Calif.
Prior to retirement, Jelen worked at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif., for more than 20 years. She enjoyed reading and crafts. She was of the Catholic faith.
Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
