Melvin Patton, 76, of Sebastian, passed away on Feb. 16 ,2015.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Roberta Patton of Sebastian; a son and daughter-in-law Melvin and Kim Patton of Independence, Mo.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister and numerous other family members.
Preceding him in death was a son, Paul Baker, his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Patton was born on March 28, 1938, to Willie F. and Madge May (Dills) Patton. He was united in marriage to Roberta Dianne Hamilton, who survives him at the home. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Patton had retired from the Ford Motor Company Claycomo Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Mo., after 30 years of service.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb 22, at the Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick, Mo. and on Monday, Feb. 23 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Trenton Church of the Nazarene in Trenton, Mo.
