James Joines, 89, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 15, 2015, at Indian River Medical Center.
He is survived by his children Alice Arrington (Boyd), Terry Turner (Scott) and Jim Joines all of Vero Beach; brother Robert Joines of Gainesville, Ga.; and four grandchildren, Tucker Joines, Hillary Joines, Austin Turner and Alexis Turner.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eileen.
Joines was born on Feb. 23, 1925, in Thomasville, Ga., and lived in Winter Haven and Vero Beach.
A Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at Community Church United Church of Christ Grace Chapel. Interment will be in Crestlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Community Church United Church of Christ, 1901 23rd Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960 or H.A.L.O. Animal Rescue, 710 Jackson Street, Sebastian, FL 32958.
