Brevard Symphony Orchestra brings two concerts to Vero stage

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River Symphonic Association will present two Brevard Symphony Orchestra Concerts at the Community Church of Vero Beach within 22 days, keeping its 80 or more musicians, and Music Director & Principal Conductor Christopher Confessore, very active both here and at their King Center, Melbourne venue on two other dates during this period.

On Sunday Feb. 22, at 7:30 p.m., the Brevard’s “Symphonic Spectacular” will feature compositions by Wagner, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Massanet, Saint-Saens and Rossini, as well as selections by John Williams, Harold Arlen, Richard Rodgers and Leroy Anderson.

On Sunday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m., the Brevard’s final Season Concert will open with Beethoven’s Overture to Egmont, op. 84, followed by Joyce Yang, Piano Soloist, performing Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto no. 3 in C Major. Schubert’s Symphony no. 9 in C Major, D. 944, “The Great”, will conclude the Brevard’s 22nd Season partnering with the Indian River Symphonic Association.
