VERO BEACH — In conjunction with the City Council, the Vero Beach Tree and Beautification Commission is instituting the inaugural “Beautification Weekend” for the City of Vero Beach, re-establishing a concept first established in 1930 honoring Dr. Humiston’s efforts in beautifying the City thru cleanup and planting projects. Beautification Weekend is scheduled for Feb. 14-15th.
The Commission will be encouraging residents to clean up their yard, plant a tree, trim a hedge, plant flowers, or engage in other beautification activities over that weekend, in hopes to spur on similar actions in even more people.
Taking actions to beautify this City is to everyone’s benefit and will make Vero Beach an even more beautiful and attractive place to live.
