SEBASTIAN — Mayor Richard Gillmor of the City of Sebastian was sworn in as President of the Treasure Coast Regional League of Cities, Inc., on Wednesday, Jan. 21. He will serve as President of the Board for 2015. President Gillmor also served as President in 2011.
The Treasure Coast Regional League of Cities, Inc. (TCRLC) is a non-profit organization made up of all 13 municipalities in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie Counties. Each municipality is represented on the Board of Directors.
The mission of the TCRLC is to promote communication among the municipalities and the municipal leaders of the Treasure Coast region, to foster cooperative action in meeting common needs, provide assistance to individual municipalities, to represent the Treasure Coast area municipalities to the state league of cities, the state legislature, state agencies, the Office of the Governor and cabinet, and to promote good municipal government throughout the Treasure Coast.
Other members also sworn in were Mayor Linda Hudson of the City of Fort Pierce as Vice President; Councilman Dowling Watford of the City of Okeechobee as Treasurer; and Alderman Ingrid Van Hekken of the Town of St. Lucie Village as Secretary.
