Humane Society hosts free class for dog owners Feb. 10

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Some dogs tug and pull on the leash when walking with their owner and another dog comes into view. Some dogs’ hackles rise as other canines passes by. Dog behaviorist Cissy Sumner will explain the reasons behind “leash reactivity” and offer tips to make dog introductions and walking dogs a joy.

“Help for Leash Reactive Dogs” will be held Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Humane Society, located at 6230 77th St., Vero Beach. This is a free class however guests are asked to reserve seating by calling (772) 571-6418. This program is for humans only so please leave pets at home.
