Dorothy Agnes Mitchell, 84, of Vero Beach, also known to many as Granny, passed away on Jan. 29, 2015.
She is survived by her son Gary Mitchell; daughters Shirley Mitchell, Maggie Terrace, and Kathleen Chasteen all of Vero Beach; brother Lawrence White of Norway, Mass.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Mitchell and son James Mitchell.
Mitchell was born in Concord, Mass., on Dec. 7, 1930. She worked in the citrus industry for more than 30 years. There will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends at 2416 16th Ave SW, Vero Beach on Feb. 7, 2015, at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family will accept donations or donations can be made to the Hospice House.
