ACLU State Legal Director to visit Vero

VERO BEACH — Nancy Abudu, Legal Director for the State of Florida ACLU will speak to the public and ACLU members on Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Indian River County Main Library located at 1600 21st Street.

Following the annual member’s meeting and plant prize drawing at 9:30 a.m., Abudu will speak at 10 a.m. in the Library’s Multi Media Room.

Abudu is a graduate of Columbia University and Tulane Law School. Prior to joining Florida ACLU, Abudu was staff attorney with the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta and senior staff attorney with the ACLU’s national Voting Rights Project. Abudu has litigated civil rights cases in Federal and State Courts and is admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court.
