VERO BEACH — Each year, one show is the most highly anticipated event for art knowledgeable buyers and for the members of the Vero Beach Art Club and the Vero Beach Museum of Art: Art by the Sea. This prestigious judged show has been a highlight of the art season in Indian River County and beyond for 27 years.
More than 240 artists offer one piece of their best work to exhibit and sell to raise money for the Vero Beach Art Club’s Scholarship Fund. The Club has donated three to five scholarships to graduating high school seniors every year and is hoping to continue that tradition.
A wine and cheese reception and the artist awards presentation will be held Friday, Jan. 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. Exhibition hours will be Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All three days are open and free to the public. The event will be held in Holmes Great Hall, Vero Beach Museum of Art, 3001 Riverside Park Dr., Vero Beach 32963. Call (772) 231-0303, for more information.
Art work will be by Members of the Vero Beach Art Club and Vero Beach Museum of Art only.
