FELLSMERE — North Orange Street is now open after a house fire in the 100 block in Fellsmere caused its closure, according to Indian River County Fire Rescue Spokesman Asst. Chief Brian Burkeen.
Authorities shut down the intersection of New York Avenue and N. Orange Street to provide Indian River County Fire Rescue room to battle the blaze.
The home was fully engulfed in flames. The cause has yet to be determined. There was “nothing nefarious,” according to Det. Larry Lawson.
There have been no reports of injuries. The home was vacant at the time of the fire.
