INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Two Indian River County schools have received a few thousand dollars each in donations from the community. The School Board approved receiving the donations totaling $5,800.
Beachland Elementary received $3,500 from its PTA. The money will be used to purchase Wii Smart Boards to equip classrooms.
Fellsmere Elementary was given $2,300 by St. Augustine of Canterbury. The Episcopal church donated the funds to help the families of Fellsmere Elementary students. How the funds will be distributed was not included in the School Board’s materials.
