James Scott Gore, 50, Sebastian

James Scott Gore, 50, of Sebastian, passed away on Jan. 7, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his loving partner of 16 years, Cindy F. Hartsfield; sons Andrew Scott Gore and Alexander James Gore; step-sons Dustin and Austin Hartsfield; sister Ginger (Brian Burkeen); and his step-parents Richard Donnon and Sharon Gore.

He is predeceased by his father Lonnie Gore and his mother Marlene Donnon.

A lifetime resident of Indian River County, Gore graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1982. He served in the United States Navy for four years and was honorably discharged in 1989. He owned and operated his own lawn service for years and worked in the deli at Publix.

He loved spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Gore could often be found on his boat fishing or camping on his favorite island out on the Indian River with Cindy.

There will be a gathering from 12 to 1 p.m. with a memorial service following at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held at the Tiki Bar & Grill in Sebastian following the service.
