Elizabeth Cherrier, 83, of Vero Beach, passed away on Jan. 2, 2015.
She is survived by her beloved spouse, Portus C. Barlow; four children Kathleen, Linda, Herbert, and Jennifer; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers Tom and Paul Fagan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Herbert A. Cherrier.
She was born in Norwalk, Conn., the daughter of Gretchen and Kenneth Fagan.
Cherrier was a devoted and loving mother and taught her children the gift of love and kindness. As the wife of a U. S. Navy officer, she lived all over the world. She worked in the real estate profession for many years and while in Newport, R.I., was named real estate agent of the year.
With Herbert, she retired to Vero Beach in 1982 and since then enjoyed many visits from her children and grandchildren. In the last several years she found great joy, happiness and fulfillment with Portus Barlow.
The world is less bright with her passing and she will be sorely missed by all.
