Dorothy S. Baker, 91, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 30, 2014, at Indian River Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly Silver in 2007 and husband of 67 years, Walter (Bud) J. Baker in 2010.
She was born Oct. 2, 1923, in Utica, N.Y., the daughter of Martin and Mary Stomierowski and moved to Vero Beach in 1980, coming from Utica, N.Y. She was a graduate of the Utica Free Academy in 1941 and was employed by the Bank of Utica for 39 years retiring in 1980. She married her husband Walter in 1941. She was of Catholic faith.
A gathering will be held on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 6 p.m. at the Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
