Jeanne Marie Guzzi, 73, of Sebastian, passed away on Dec. 19, 2014.
She is survived by her children Elizabeth Osterloff, Sean Smith, Michelle M. Arenth and Michael J. Smith; her sister Mary Oberholtzer; and brother John McCann.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Patrick A. Smith of Ireland. After Patrick’s death, she married Pasquale Guzzi of Sebastian and they were married for 14 years until his passing in 2008.
Born in Bay Shore, N.Y., she was the daughter of John and Alene McCann. She worked in the food service industry including Tiffany’s Kitchen in Dublin, Ireland and was Assistant Manager of Friendly’s Restaurant in Melbourne.
Guzzi most recently worked at ACTS Retirement Community in Vero Beach. In retirement, she was a volunteer at the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County and was an active member of the St. Sebastian Catholic Church.
She was our heart, our soul, our rock and was instantly liked by everyone she met and dearly loved by those who came to know her. She was a warm, loving and generous soul. A friend to everyone in her life and to strangers she met along the way. Among her dearest friends were her pet companions, Dylan and Jasper.
Her Funeral Mass will be Monday, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 U.S. 1, Sebastian, FL 32958.
