INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Underwater Search & Recovery Team has raised more than a few eyebrows today in Indian River County.
Social media has been a buzz with talks of a search for a body in the canal near 27th Ave. and 5th St. SW.
They are searching for evidence, according to the St. Lucie Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Mike Sheelar. The spokesman added that they are following up on a lead pertaining to an investigation.
The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, Vero Police Department, and Indian River Fire Rescue, said they have heard nothing about a search for a body in the canal.
