Vero Beach man, 67, killed in I-95 crash overnight

ST. LUCIE COUNTY — A 67-year-old Vero Beach man was killed Wednesday night in a crash on northbound Interstate 95 in St. Lucie County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Michael Barton Glaze was driving a 2007 Ford Mustang on the highway shortly before 10:30 p.m. when, for an as of yet unknown reason, the vehicle struck the metal guardrail and veered off the road.

The Mustang went down a grass slope and into the tree line, striking at least two trees.

Authorities believe Glaze might have had a medical condition that led to the crash.

The cause remains under investigation.
