INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — For those still in search of the perfect gift to give this holiday season, the Education Foundation of Indian River County (EF-IRC) has a gift-giving opportunity.
Giving the gift of “Happy Feet” is as easy as 1-2-3! Here’s how:
Step #1: Donate $20 for the purchase of socks and sneakers for a child in need.
Step #2: The Education Foundation provides donors with a card to present as a gift.
Step #3: Donors’ hearts are filled with joy because they gave a child “Happy Feet.”
There is also an opportunity to give the gift of Science.
Step #1: Donate $25 to purchase an award for a student in this year’s Science Fair. Be creative, select the category and the name of the award in honor of the recipient.
Step #2: The Education Foundation provides donors with a certificate to present as a gift.
Step #3: Donors’ hearts are filled with joy because they inspired a child to excel through Science.
The EF-IRC exists to fulfill unmet funding gaps operating both as a funding source and as a service provider for the school community. For more than 23 years, the Foundation’s program services have been focused on enriching and enhancing educational opportunities for all students and teachers, both public and private, through effective fundraising and efficient allocation of resources.
The EF-IRC works with the school system to develop, evaluate and secure funding for new, innovative projects generated both by the system itself and by community organizations. In addition, the Foundation seeks to support the students’ opportunities to achieve school success and to develop the skills needed to meet the challenges of higher education and the pursuit of vocational interests.
